![]() ![]() I was able to get the traffic in FLTPLAN GO by adding External/Add Custom Unit/ add port 4000ĭo not select x-plane simulator, only click on the new port-4000 connections It looks like foreflight stream is GDL90. I'm curious if GDL90 is drastically different from the current format used for the foreflight output? They've also said that they will pass along my request to development, however there are no current plans for x-plane traffic. hopefully this gives some more information about FLTPLAN GO (I'm not clear if GDL90 can be sent to any "custom" port or must use port 4000). "The Custom Unit is meant for a device that uses open GDL90 format." However, this is not intended to work with X-Plane for traffic" I've contacted FLtPLAN Go support regardiing x-plane traffic and the format of the custom port ADSB protocol. Sorry for replying to an old thread, but it's the best one I found on the topic. Loaded Xavion and same results, nothing from Live Traffic. I haven't tried using Xavion with your plugin but am toying around with the idea but unloading FPG and loading up Xavion is a pain but it's bothering me enough that I will probably do it. One other thing I noticed is that when I select "Live Aircraft" in the LT plugin I loose AI ATC comms I can manually set up a flight plan and ATC will talk to me but no instructions for the AI aircraft, as soon as I turn Live Aircraft off the ATC comes back for the AI 's like there are two things trying to control the AI ATC simultaneously. I even went as far as setting up a manual external device in FPG and used port 49002, it makes the connection back to Xplane but doesn't display and tracking data to include the plane I'm flying. It shows up on the acft GPS (Garmin 750/650) but not on the external app. TwinFan….no matter what I adjust I can't get the traffic to show up on the iPad with FPG. Then others know, too, and I can update documentation. Modern apps should be capable of receiving UDP broadcast I was thinking by the time implementing that functionality.) (If broadcasting to all devices does not work, but an X-Plane setup works in which you configure sending to one specific device on one specific port then there is no similar option in LiveTraffic yet, but that could be added. Ideally, LiveTraffic's aircrafts will now be shown in FltPlan Go. In LiveTraffic's Basic Settings enable ForeFlight output including own position and traffic and enable LiveTraffic so that it displays aircrafts. Switch off X-Plane's network output! (Otherwise you have multiple inputs to FltPlan which will soon be confusing) Only once that succeeds (it is supposed to succeed according to both FltPlan and X-Plane! So don't go ahead without this working!) the next step has a very good chance: Your own location and X-Plane's AI traffic should show up in FltPlan Go now. In X-Plane's Network settings activate the output to "iPhone, iPad and External Apps", broadcasted to all devices (see X-Plane 11 Manual on this, which nowadays even has a video)įor X-Plane to generate AI traffic you need to have a few AI aircraft configured and have LiveTraffic switched off ). Verify, that you X-Pane setup works with your FltPlan Go installation: With X-Plane an incompatibility with the Android versions of apps seems to have been introduced, dicussion e.g. That is probably a misnomer as X-Plane claims to support a number of other apps with this very format, including FltPlan Go. The format is documented here on the ForeFlight page. In X-Plane 11, the settings have been simplified and reduced and only AHRS is left. LiveTraffic sends the very same form of human-readable AHRS data as X-Plane does, which is the very same format ForeFlight reads. The X-Plane connectivity had been introduced with XP10 ( documentation), but it is unclear from documentation if it builds upon AHRS data or ADS-B data. ![]() The iOS apps are only available in the US app store, which makes sense as the map coverage is the Americas only, but means: I can't download, I can't test, I can't really develop specifically for it. I spend 60 more minutes on this.and I think what you should do is: Just enable ForeFlight output and be happy.but read on:
